GTA 6 launch hub

Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That much is confirmed by Rockstar and the console makers. It isn't coming to PS4, and Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version for launch. If you've pre-ordered digitally, pre-loading opens November 12. The boxed version contains a download code rather than a game disc, so every copy is a full download either way.

Beyond that, a lot of what's floating around is reported, not confirmed. Frame rates, file size and "plays best on" claims get repeated as fact, so we keep the two apart. Anything Rockstar, Sony or Microsoft has said is labeled as confirmed. Anything that comes from leaks or outlet reports is labeled as reported, with the source named.
